I am thrilled to announce that last night we had our first mixed green salad from the cold frame with everything but the carrots. It was WONDERFUL!!! Truly worth the wait! I can hardly wait until the snow peas and broccoli come in . . .

Fresh Mixed Green Salad!
Sometime the first of February my wonderful husband and very helpful son built me a cold frame for the garden. I believe it was February 12th that I planted that cold frame with Detroit beets, Little Finger carrots, Nantes carrots, Fordhook Swiss Chard, Black Seeded Simpson lettuce, Cimmaron lettuce, Heirloom Iceberg lettuce, and Bloomsdale Long Standing spinach.
